About Barbara Looney

Barbara Looney is the Assistant ARB Director at Kiawah Island. A native of South Carolina, she holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY with a study abroad in Rome. She has worked in the Charleston area on a variety of projects, ranging from boutique commercial property design to residential architecture on peninsular Charleston and Sullivan’s Island. In addition to contributing architectural input to the ARB, Barbara coordinates project reviews and fields submittal questions. She is currently licensed and practices architecture in South Carolina.
